Alternative Load Paths for Floor Diaphragm Forces Following Severe Damage to the Supporting Beams

In April 2002 a combined industries workshop involving CCANZ, SESOC & NZSEE was held at the University of Canterbury to discuss the outcomes from the recently completed experimental programme undertaken by Jeff Matthews, Des Bull and John Mander at the University. The workshop focussed on the observed results and key issues that emerged from the testing and the workshop. Recommendations were made for further research.
